Blurred vision

Symptom
  • Macular degeneration: Antioxidant deficiency and mineral deficiency from years of inadequate nutrition
  • Dehydration from diabetes: As you become dehydrated from diabetes, water may be pulled away from lenses of eyes to help flush out excess glucose
  • Adrenal fatigue / blood sugar: Blood sugar instability from weakened adrenals and a struggling liver — including hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, inconsistent blood sugar, high A1C, and pre-diabetes — directly causes blurry vision. This type of blurry vision can be partially relieved by eating every 1 to 1.5 hours to prevent blood sugar dips.
  • Central nervous system issues: Blood toxicity, liver condition, heavy metals in liver, viral issues like Epstein-Barr in liver - gets worse throughout the day
  • Optic nerve inflammation: Blurry vision for no reason whatsoever is optic neuritis or optic nerve inflammation
  • Adrenal fatigue: Blurry vision or difficulty focusing eyesight is caused by flood of excess cortisol which dehydrates sensitive spots near the eyes that require constant hydration
  • Canola oil: Canola oil causes blurry vision, brain fog, and myelin nerve damage among other neurological symptoms
  • Canola oil / troublemaker fats: Canola oil is directly listed in Medical Medium: Life-Changing Foods Expanded Edition as causing blurry vision. It damages the myelin nerve sheath and causes neurological symptoms including blurry vision. Other troublemaker foods that cause excessive fat in the blood (including high-fat diets in general) can contribute to blurry vision by thickening the blood and creating blood toxicity.
  • High-fat diet and insulin resistance: Central nervous system requires glucose to function optimally. If insulin resistance persists because of high-fat diet, blurry vision can occur intermittently or continually
  • EBV neurotoxins: EBV neurotoxins in the bloodstream short-circuit neurotransmitters and weaken the optic nerve, causing mysterious blurry vision that optometrists cannot explain or correct
  • Epstein-Barr neurotoxins: Epstein-Barr virus releases poisons and neurotoxins that cause the liver to fill with toxins, making the blood toxic, which then creates blurry vision. This is a low-grade viral process — a person may not feel dramatically sick, but EBV's viral byproducts accumulate and affect vision over time.
  • Blood sugar issues: Hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, inconsistent blood sugar, glucose deficiencies - related to adrenals and liver
  • Macular degeneration: Macular degeneration causing blurriness is about missing antioxidants and minerals from foods throughout life history
  • Mercury toxicity: Mercury disorients the eye, throws off the eye muscles, disrupts the eye's neural responses, and affects the nerves behind the eye. Mercury-caused blurry vision can develop over a lifetime from inherited mercury passed down through family lines combined with ongoing environmental exposure. People who suddenly need glasses are often experiencing mercury's effect on vision.
  • Natural flavors (MSG): Natural flavors contain MSG, a neurotoxin that builds up in the brain, destroys neurons and glial cells, and is detrimental to the central nervous system
  • Shingles virus: Shingles virus (without requiring a rash) can cause blurry vision through later-stage neurological activity, particularly via trigeminal neuralgia, which runs nerve pain from the neck through the jaw and to the eye area. Eye pain from shingles is neurological, not structural.
  • Blood sugar imbalances: Sporadic blood sugar, high A1C, type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, hypoglycemia - all related to adrenals and liver dysfunction - can cause blurry eyes
  • Mercury toxicity: Toxic heavy metals including mercury can affect the eyes and cause blurry vision
  • Cranial nerve inflammation: Viral-induced cranial nerve inflammation — from Epstein-Barr virus, shingles, HHV-6, CMV, or other herpetic viruses — causes blurred vision. The inflammation short-circuits electrical currents going to the eye. In Brain Saver Protocols, blurred vision is cross-referenced directly to the Cranial Nerve Inflammation protocol.
  • Viral nerve and brain stem inflammation: Viruses, toxic heavy metals inflame the brain stem causing cranial nerve inflammation with symptoms including blurry vision, ticks, spasms, aches, and neurological fatigue
  • Mystery blurry vision (neurological): When eye doctors find no physical cause, mystery blurry vision is neurological — a central nervous system issue. This type is clearer in the morning, worsens throughout the day, and is often worst by nighttime. It results from blood toxicity, liver dysfunction, heavy metals in the liver, or viral issues like Epstein-Barr in the liver releasing poisons and neurotoxins into the bloodstream. This form interferes with driving and other activities.
