Millet
Filler FoodOne of AW's favorite grains. A healing grain that offers lots of nutrition and phytochemical compounds. Can be used as a tool for healing when used properly.
The safest grain, least inflammatory, least mucus forming, alkaline grain with high pH
Cook 2 cups millet in 4 cups water. Do NOT add oil or overt fats like nut butter or tahini to millet if you're healing - this negates its benefits.
If you eat meat and want to do this recipe, replace the millet with a small portion of meat. Don't combine high-fat meat with millet in the same dish.
Not something to eat every day, but a useful healing tool when used correctly. Use 1/2 cup to 2 cups per serving in recipes.
