TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder)

Condition
Neurological viral TMJ is caused by the shingles virus inflaming the mandibular joint and surrounding nerves. The inflammation is not in the joint cartilage or bone — it is in the nerves that supply and surround the jaw. This produces jaw pain, restricted opening, inability to chew, burning sensations in the gums and tongue, and tooth pain that mimics dental problems. People with this form of TMJ often cannot open their mouth fully and may be unable to chew solid food. The shingles virus can be entirely internal with no rash — it hides in the liver and launches to nerve areas including the jaw. Per Anthony William, TMJ is a neurological viral condition — not a structural joint problem as conventional medicine believes.   • Herpes simplex 1 and 2 (HSV-1, HSV-2): Herpes simplex viruses 1 and 2 cause neurological TMJ symptoms similar to shingles-caused TMJ.
