Sinusitis, Sinus Infections, and Lung Infections

Condition
One or more strains from the over 50 groups of Streptococcus bacteria nestle in the sinus cavities, creating long-term chronic sinus issues from mild to severe, resulting in scar tissue or even polyps. Normally misconstrued as chronic allergies or environmental or air quality sensitivities without an understanding that strep is creating the underlying sinus problem.
  • Chemical fragrances and irritants: Air fresheners, scented candles, perfumes, and colognes lower the immune system, allowing strep flare-ups to occur in the sinus cavities. Chemical soups in these products directly trigger chronic sinusitis.

People can carry 5 to 10 or more different strep strains picked up over a lifetime. Some aggressive strains cause chronic sinusitis and are particularly difficult to eliminate with antibiotics.
  • Passed down generationally: Strep can be passed down from generation to generation. Children can be born with strep already in their system, predisposing them to chronic sinusitis from early life.
  • E. coli: Streptococcus and E. coli together can create sinusitis. E. coli is a secondary bacterial driver alongside strep in certain sinus infection presentations.
