Emphysema
Condition- High-fat diet burdening liver and lymphatics: A high-fat diet, especially from animal products (meat, dairy, eggs), overburdens the liver, which in turn bogs down the lymphatic system. This leads to excess mucus forming and pushing up through the lymphatic system into the lungs, worsening the blockage of the oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange in the lung sacs.
- Environmental toxins — burning of pesticide-soaked plastics: A major but hidden cause of worsening emphysema is the burning of plastic row covers used in conventional agriculture that are saturated in skull-and-crossbone-class pesticides. When burned, the plastic and pesticides create new chemical compounds in white smoke plumes that spread across the country. Breathing these in feeds existing viruses and bacteria in the lungs and creates further scar tissue and lung-sac damage.
- Dairy consumption feeding pathogens: Dairy products — milk, cheese, butter — feed viruses and bacteria in the lungs and throughout the body. They also cause mucus formation that further obstructs the oxygen exchange in the lung sacs. This includes all forms of dairy regardless of how the animal was raised.
- Streptococcal bacteria in lung sacs: Emphysema is caused in large part by streptococcal bacteria (strep) that settle into the lungs and lung sacs. Multiple mutations of strep accumulate there, and when strep sits in the lung sacs it creates the actual lung damage. Antibiotics used against strep cause it to mutate and grow stronger over time.
- Viral infection — Epstein-Barr and herpetic viruses: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and other herpetic viruses (HHV-6, HHV-10, HHV-11, HHV-12) travel through the lymphatic system into the lungs, producing byproducts (junk and gunk) that create mucus and interfere with the oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange in the lung sacs. EBV also causes lung scarring and small cysts in the lungs.
- Cigarette and chemical smoke damage: Inhaling cigarette smoke, vaping chemicals, industrial gases, or other chemical fumes contributes to emphysema by directly damaging lung tissue and feeding pathogens already present in the lungs.
