Condition

Epstein-Barr virus: Epstein-Barr virus is behind autoimmune disease and autoimmune liver conditions. The antibodies that the immune system creates are not destroying the liver, but are created to go after the virus.
Herpetic virus: Herpetic virus gets in the liver and causes different stages of what they deem hepatitis, different stages of inflammation. The virus that causes all hepatitis is varieties of the herpetic family, mainly the Epstein-Barr virus.
Viral origin: The body doesn't attack itself. Mystery liver inflammation and autoimmune liver conditions are not caused by the body attacking itself - there is always a cause behind the inflammation.
